Heads up - Assessment Timeline
Up to Open Forum
Discussion forums are not moderated by the Office of Accreditation and postings do not necessarily represent the opinions of the FLETA Board or its staff. All items posted should be unclassified and appropriate in nature to the accreditation initiative.
For those new to the process, or looking at re-accreditation like we are, it should be noted that the timeline for this process is getting a bit strung out. We are scheduled for our Academy reaccreditation in November 2008, but have to do the self assessment in March 2008 in order to meet the November Board meeting deadline in the current OA timeline. This significantly cuts into the "three years between assessments" and has to be taken into account during your planning.

Update: In discussions with the OA staff today (6/7/07), the timeline has been reinterpreted to allow a smaller time window between the formal assessment and the Board date. In our case, we now have a August assessment date for the November Board, which makes it a true three year period.
