Terry Stuart

Director, NCITA, IRS Criminal Investigation Division

Terry Stuart is currently the Director, National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA) of IRS Criminal Investigation.  He reported to NCITA as Director in June 2008 after serving as Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Denver Field Office for four years.  Prior to the SAC position in Denver, Colorado, he was Director, Warrants and Forfeitures in Headquarters in Washington, D.C., from September 2002 until 2004.  Prior to his Director position in Headquarters, he was SAC of the New Orleans Field Office for two years after being promoted from Branch Chief of the New Orleans Field Office in 2000.

Mr. Stuart began his career with IRS in July 1985 as a Revenue Agent in Dallas, Texas, and then was selected in 1986 as a Special Agent in Dallas until he began his management career with Criminal Investigation in 1994.  He served as Special Agent in Dallas for nine years prior to being selected as Supervisory Special Agent in Springfield, Missouri, followed by his selection as Senior Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia, and then his selection for the New Orleans positions.
