Office of Accreditation Mission, Vision & Goals
OA VISION
Our efforts will enhance public confidence in the integrity, professionalism and accountability of Federal law enforcement training and contribute to our partners’ ability to accomplish their mission of protecting America.
OA MISSION
As the agent of the FLETA Board, work in partnership with Federal law enforcement organizations to maintain professional law enforcement training standards and guide clients through the accreditation process.
OA GOALS
GOAL 1: Provide Outstanding Customer Service
- Treat all clients/customers as you would want to be treated; remember they are volunteers
- Keep clients informed with regular communication
- Anticipate the Board’s needs and respond in a professional, timely, and supportive manner to all Board requests, taskings and inquiries
- Know the status of all our clients in the process
GOAL 2 : Provide Accreditation Expertise
- Be the authority on the Standards Manual and Guide
- Stay current on changes in law enforcement training – our standards should always improve
- Share new ideas with clients and colleagues
- Provide training and education about the accreditation process
GOAL 3 : Market Accreditation and Establish Alliances
- Identify all potential clients
- Market the benefits of accreditation at every opportunity
- Encourage for every Federal agency with a law enforcement training program and/or academy to become accredited
- Establish a reputation of excellence in law enforcement and accreditation communities
GOAL 4 : Create and Sustain a Positive Office Environment
- Treat everyone as you want to be treated
- Promote an environment where each employee is a fully integrated team member
- Recognize and reward the good work of our team; it’s a team effort
- Promote free-flowing communication of current projects, tasks, and news throughout the office
