The BIT program is a residential program conducted at the Career Development Unit (CDU) located on the campus of the U.S. Postal Service, William F. Bolger Center for Leadership Development in Potomac, MD. The BIT program, is a twelve week program consisting of approximately 80 individual blocks of instruction. The blocks introduce the student inspector to the U.S. Postal Service and the Postal Inspection Service policies and procedures. In addition, student inspectors receive extensive training in writing, interviews and integrations, legal issues, firearms and threat management.
