FLETA Standards Revisions -- Revision Notice 2005-2 (dated 03/13/08)

The following standard revision was made by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Accreditation Board at their March 13, 2008, meeting in Charleston, SC.  The revisions are effective as of this date.

Clarifying Change – Clarifying changes are designed to make the intent of the standard more understandable, effective, easier to administer or free from confusion.  A clarifying change may cause an agency to change a business process.

STANDARD:  4.06.06 – Change:  Add underlined words and remove other words to clarify the intent.  The standard will read: “When different versions of assessment or evaluation instruments are used, such as written or practical examinations, the evaluated objectives must remain the same.”

Compliance Indicator:

Documentation indicating that all versions of the written examination or practical exercise reference the same objectives. An objective-to-test item matrix is one way of showing this. The same grading rubric is used when more than one practical examination is used.
