Brent L. Brown is a Supervisory Special Agent with the Diplomatic Security Service and a member of the Senior Foreign Service.  Brent currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Director for Training and the Director of the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC). 

Mr. Brown joined the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Diplomatic Security Service in November of 2000.  Mr. Brown served overseas at the following Diplomatic Missions:  Assistant Regional Security Officer, Manama, Bahrain; Assistant Regional Security Officer, Beirut, Lebanon; Regional Security Officer, Herat, Afghanistan; Regional Security Officer, Havana, Cuba; Deputy Regional Security Officer, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and Deputy Regional Security Officer, Iraq, Baghdad.  Mr. Brown also served as the Director of the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) located in San Salvador, El Salvador where he was responsible for providing training to law enforcement personnel from 34 countries in South/Central America and the Caribbean.

In addition to his overseas assignments, Mr. Brown served in the Diplomatic Security Service Field Offices in Boston and New York as well as assignments at the Foreign Affairs Security Training Center and as the Diplomatic Security Agency Representative to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.

Brent holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Michigan State University and a Master of Science degree in Adult Education from Kansas State University.
