Police Basic Recruit Training Program (PBRTP)

Initial Accreditation

The purpose of the PBRTP is to deliver training in accordance with Department of Defense requirements set forth in DoDI 5525.15, “Law Enforcement Standards and Training in the DoD.” The program includes training in firearms, control tactics, use of force, mobile patrol, evidence, and weapons of mass destruction. The PBRTP is 55 instructional days in length and includes 440 training hours. The average number of students per iteration of the program is 20.
