USPIS Receives FLETA Fundamentals, July 23-24, 2019

For Immediate Release
FLETA Program Manager teaching Fundamentals to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service

FLETA Office of Accreditation Program Manager Christiana Halsey delivered a two-day FLETA Fundamentals to the new Inspector in Charge and thirteen staff members of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service Career Development Unit in Potomac, MD, July 23-24, 2019. The program included an overview of the FLETA process, an agency-specific standard-by-standard discussion for training programs and academy, an overview of the FLETA assessment process, building and maintaining accreditation files, and a review of mock files.

FLETA Fundamentals is typically a one-day workshop for delivery to agency personnel as they prepare and support the agency's accreditation efforts, but may be modified to include: building files, managing annual reports, completing a corrective action plan, and assessing files. The Fundamentals may be delivered in-person or online. Online sessions may be recorded and provided securely to the agency for delivering in-house training.
