FLETA Presents at IACP 2018

For Immediate Release
Representatives from the Office of Accreditation represent the FLETA Board at IACP

The FLETA Board had representatives at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 125th Annual Conference and Exposition held in Orlando, FL, October 6-9, 2018.

FLETA Office of Accreditation Program Manager Jennifer Kasper, Program Analyst Stephanie Archbold-Massey, and Program Analyst James Mays were on-hand throughout the conference to explain the process, Standards, and benefits of FLETA accreditation.

FLETA is the accrediting body for all federal law enforcement training. FLETA is congressionally funded and OMB directed to enhance the quality of federal law enforcement by setting a set of standards that federal law enforcement training must meet. FLETA was established to provide federal agencies with a voluntary method to assess and improve training in a way that enhances federal law enforcement operations. FLETA is unique because the Standards and procedures allow for agencies to design training to meet agency-specific missions that can vary greatly depending on the regulation or law that the agency is charged with upholding.
